I chose to become a therapist because I want to support families and individuals feel more confident in their abilities when working through difficult transitions and times in their lives. I really enjoy seeing clients reach their goals even the small goals and watching their confidence build.
I have a heavy background in Trauma with children and adolescents. The ideal client would be on that want to make change and work towards improving their daily functioning. I also enjoy working with couples and families and helping them navigate positive communication and building strength in their relationships. When a client finishes therapy with me I want to make sure that they have the right tools to help them through the ups and downs of life long-term.
My faith and love of Jesus is one that I hold on strong too. I have seen the power of Jesus work in myself and those around me when the trials of the world are heavy. I make sure my clients are comfortable with integrating faith into sessions and allow them to take the lead on how much they would like to explore scripture during session. I am able to tailor my values to the needs of the client and if they are not open to this, I am able to easily adjust to their specific needs.
