A professional Crosswinds’ Counselor will be counseling your child. All of Crosswinds’ Counselors have at least a master’s level license in counseling and have been trained to work with the age group of the school they are placed at. Our counselors are trained in evidence-based practices and provide a safe judgement-free environment for each student that is seen.

Yes, the counselor will send a welcome email to the email of the parent/guardian on the consent form. The parent/guardian can contact the counselor via the phone number or email that is listed in the welcome email. The counselor will reach out to the parent/guardian about safety concerns or anything the counselor feels the parent/guardian needs to know.
No. The school is only allowed to know the schedule of when the student is being seen and if there is a safety concern such as suicide ideation or abuse/neglect. Everything else is confidential.
In-school counseling sessions are approximately 30 minutes. The number of sessions available to each student can vary by school. Please contact your school’s point person for more information.
In-school counseling sessions are at no cost to the parent/guardian. Crosswinds Counseling has a contract with the school.
