Bio: Maryellen received her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has also been a registered nurse for over 30 years specializing in labor and delivery, high risk pregnancies, pregnancy loss and post-partum depression. She is passionate about a holistic approach to therapy that encompasses the paradigm of spirit, mind and body in achieving whole wellness. Maryellen also has training in life coaching from Lark Song Academy and has worked with individuals seeking positive change in career, personal development, relationships and empowerment. Believing that family is the foundation of our lives, she understands the complex dynamics of relationships within the family and works with couples and families in restoring balance and strengthening bonds. Maryellen's preferred method of therapy is Adlerian, focusing on client strengths and personal growth in an encouraging, empathetic, insight and purpose seeking manner. Other areas of experience are in Gottman's Couple's Therapy, premarital counseling, divorce care and children of divorce issues.
