More About Me

If you feel like your life is being consumed or controlled by anxiety, depression, trauma, or another struggle, I am here to help you overcome these things. When working with clients, I prioritize a strong therapeutic relationship, humor, and teamwork. My passion is to walk alongside my clients in a supportive manner as they heal, grow, and begin to thrive in their relationships. In my free time, I’m an active member of my local church, I enjoy hiking, playing board games, and spending time with my dog Summit.

I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary. Before beginning work as a counselor, I spent years working with children, teens, and young adults in a variety of settings, including camps, colleges, and a residential facility for youth with sexually maladaptive behaviors. As a counselor, I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My work has included a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, ASD, and ADHD. I specialize in men’s issues, suicidal ideation, and I am comfortable addressing spiritual concerns.

My preferred method of therapy is Existential Therapy, which focuses on building meaning and purpose through engaging in and strengthening relationships. I integrate aspects of neurology and biology that have an impact on mental health. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Sand Tray Therapy, and knowledge of Competency Hierarchies. Whether you need someone to talk through everything going on in your life, or you want to grow personally and develop greater coping skills, I want to help you reach your goals.
