In this week’s episode of Crosswind’s Conversations, Curtis Smith, Chief Marketing Officer of Crosswinds Counseling interviews Mo Wildey, Pastor and Executive Director of the Yeshua Society. Mo’s organization has a heavy emphasis on batting poverty, but not just financial poverty. Mo believes that poverty comes in 5 forms: spiritual, physical, emotional, academic, and financial.
The Yeshua Society spends a lot of time helping people who experience poverty as a result of addiction or brokenness. 40% of the U.S. population are impacted by addiction – either suffering addiction themselves or watching someone very close to them battle addiction. The Yeshua Society’s strategy in combatting these addictions involves attacking the strongholds, or root causes, that these addictions stemmed from in the first place.
